Mission Statement

The Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County's mission statement is very simple: To eliminate hiunger in Orange County.

The Harvesters

The Harvesters is a support group of women formed in 1992 to raise awareness of, and funds for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. The Food Bank is Orange County’s largest hunger relief non-profit organization. It collects food which would otherwise be thrown away from grocery stores, manufacturers, government surplus, restaurants and food drives, and distributes the food to over 400 charitable organizations throughout Orange County. Through distribution to these groups, the Food Bank provides food to over 220,000 unduplicated children, seniors, individuals and families each month.
