This year’s Food From The Bar campaign is critical. Your support is needed now more than ever as Second Harvest responds to this unprecedented and sudden time of need for our community due to COVID-19.
In response to COVID-19, Second Harvest made the decision to modify our Food From The Bar campaign in an abundance of caution to keep our supporters and staff safe and healthy.
Traditionally, Food From The Bar runs during the month of May, but due to unforeseen costs in response to COVID-19, we are extending the campaign to start immediately, now – June 1, 2020. This shift is to provide immediate assistance and help alleviate the unexpected costs Second Harvest is facing in response to COVID-19. We must raise an estimated $400,000 weekly in order to meet the current need, and we know you can help us get there! Every dollar makes a difference!
We are not requiring FFTB supporters to participate the full two months, but rather providing the opportunity to start fundraising now if you choose.
Fundraising will take place online using our Virtual Food Drive. All funds will go toward our COVID-19 crisis response. If you would like to make a general donation to the campaign without signing up your company, you may do so here.
All volunteer opportunities, including the April Kickoff event, have been suspended until further notice.
We are not currently accepting individual food donations. In order to maintain the highest level of food safety. Presently, we are only moving pallets and truck loads of food.
Sponsor benefits offered throughout the campaign (modifications may be made to the benefits based off COVID-19 response) including an exclusive Title Sponsor opportunity, which is a wonderful opportunity to have an even greater impact on the community.
