You know the feeling. You haven’t had time to eat lunch and suddenly you’re so hungry that you can’t think about anything else. Imagine what it would be like if you felt that way but you had no food and no money. More than 301,000 people, including 117,000 children, in Orange County will be in exactly that situation sometime this month.
You can join us starting September 1 for Hunger Action Month, when Feeding America food banks all across the country, including Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, work together to raise awareness about hunger in our communities. This September we’re asking everyone to help us spread the word about all the different ways you can make sure no one has to run on empty.
