Classification: Coordinator B ($15.50-$19.50 DOE)
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

POSITION PURPOSE: This position provides a unique opportunity to directly help feed food-insecure families in Orange County, as well as provide additional wraparound services and referrals. The role of the CalFresh Capacity Coordinator is to facilitate the coordination of capacity-building initiatives that will increase participation in CalFresh to eligible individuals and families. The primary objective of this position is to network with local food distribution organizations and other non-profits to plan monthly CalFresh enrollment events and create a countywide CalFresh referral network, with the ultimate goal of increasing enrollment in CalFresh. In addition to overseeing these capacity building initiatives, the CalFresh Capacity Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the CalFresh Subcontractor Program in partnership with local non-profit organizations – training and supporting them to provide CalFresh application assistance to the community.
