Changes to Our Volunteer Experience

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to suspend our onsite Distribution Center volunteer operations. If you are interested in receiving an email when we re-open the Distribution Center (our on-site Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals, Groups, or Izzy’s Kids Corner), please complete and submit this interest form.

As the need arises, we will be adding any offsite Volunteer events here, so please check the link often for future events.

Virtual Volunteer Options

We are offering “Virtual Volunteer” opportunities for those who want to amplify our mission of ending hunger in Orange County, utilize their social media platforms to raise awareness, educate themselves on the issues of hunger and food insecurity, and of course help us raise critical funds!

Please visit the below links to learn more about each opportunity:

We are looking for virtual volunteers to amplify our social media messages, help us reach out to their elected officials as constituents, and generally help us educate and raise awareness about food insecurity in Orange County! It is critical to our mission to raise awareness among the public and our elected officials.

  • Virtual Food Drive Volunteers

Food and funding for food remain the most critical needs here at Second Harvest. The pandemic has substantially increased the need for emergency food for the foreseeable future. You can help us raise awareness about hunger here in Orange County by becoming a Virtual Food Drive Volunteer. Please visit the Virtual Food Drive page to learn more!
